Privacy

Your email address, a one-way hash of each API key (we cannot see or recover the key itself), your credit balance, and one row per API call recording the endpoint, timestamp, which data source answered and whether it succeeded. For each purchase: the order id, the amount, PayPal's order, payment and refund references, PayPal's payer id and the fee PayPal kept. Emails we send you are logged by tag and outcome with your address masked.

Call logs are deleted after 90 days. Email delivery logs (masked addresses, never message content) are deleted after 90 days. Sign-in codes and sessions are deleted when they expire. Your credit ledger (purchases, per-call debits, refunds) is kept for as long as your account exists, and after deletion for the period tax and accounting law requires, because it is our financial record of what you paid for.

We do not store the content of your query results, we do not sell your data, we share it only with the processors named on this page, and we run no advertising trackers on this site.

Cloudflare Web Analytics counts page views on every page of this site; it sets no cookie and does no cross-site tracking. Microsoft Clarity records clicks, scrolling and session replays on the public pages only (home, docs, pricing, platform and troubleshooting pages, and these legal pages). Our build refuses to put Clarity on the dashboard, sign-in, payment or admin pages, the pages where an API key, your email address or an order appears. Clarity is configured to mask typed text, email addresses and numbers. Neither tool is used for advertising; both process this data for us under their own privacy terms.

Payments are processed by PayPal. We never see or hold your card details: we receive the amount, PayPal's order and payment references and a payer id, and we keep them with the order as our financial record. PayPal's privacy statement is at paypal.com/privacy.

Results are public content from third-party platforms, fetched on your behalf at the moment you ask for it. We are a processor for that request, not a data broker holding a corpus.

Email support@socialsearchapi.com to export or delete your account and its call history. We action deletions within 30 days. Deletion removes your email address and sign-in data and disables every key; the credit ledger and the purchase records (amounts and PayPal's payment references, which PayPal can still link to you) are retained without your email, as our financial record only, for as long as tax and accounting law requires.

Account records, call logs and payment references are stored in Cloudflare Workers and the D1 database on Cloudflare's network, which processes them for us under Cloudflare's privacy terms. Email is delivered by Resend, which processes the full content of every email we send you (your address, sign-in codes, and on purchases the order id, amount, PayPal reference and your new credit balance). Payments are processed by PayPal, which receives the amount and the order reference and sends us back its own references.
